Our Story
The Nanaimo Train Show Society was formed in 2021 to provide a secure, long term organization for the promotion of a model train show in the Nanaimo area of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
The Nanaimo Train Show was originally started as the Mid Island Train Show in 1986 by a group of modelers from Port Alberni and Nanaimo. It was taken over in 2020 after the retirement of the previous organizing team, and formed as a society after the first year of operations.
The Nanaimo Train Show Society operates as a Not-For-Profit Society under the B.C. Societies Act. All members are volunteers, organized with the following positions:
